Note:

1. For all English-taught degree programs in Liaoning University of Technology, students are permitted to arrive at the university in advance after March. If the program begins in September, students could come to the university in March and learn Chinese for free from March to July. And students should pay the accommodation fee according to the standard fee structure.

Program Description

This major aims to cultivate advanced talents of engineering technology with innovative ability in fields of Civil Engineering, which enable students to adapt 21st the requirement of economic construction and social development, to master solid basic theories and knowledge of constructional engineering and to get basic training of engineer so that students can engage in work of technology and management in departments of education, research, design ,construction, supervision, management, investment and real estate development after graduation.

Curriculum Requirement:

Requisite knowledge and skills of graduates:

1.To have solid knowledge foundation of natural science, humanistic and social science;

2.To know history and developing trend of this major;

3.To master the basic theories of theoretical mechanics, material mechanics, structural mechanics, hydraulics, soil mechanics, engineering survey, civil engineering materials, concrete structure, steel structure, construction technology and management and engineering technology economy ;

4.To have the elementary ability of engineering drawing and computer programming by use of computer;

5.To master the basic skills of engineering measurement, test and experiment;

6.To gain basic skills of equipment selection, structural analysis and design, ground treatment, construction technology and construction organization

7.To know every law and regulation of constructional engineering.

Higher Mathematics, Theoretical Mechanics, Material Mechanics, Structural Mechanics, Hydraulics, Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering, Civil Engineering Materials, Engineering Survey, Concrete Structure, Steel Structure, Construction Technology and Management, Engineering Technology Economy, Engineering Seismology, Structural Inspection, etc.

• Must be under the age of 25, a high school graduate or with equivalent qualification of 12-year education background.
• English language proficiency certificate.
• If studying for an engineering degree, results of mathematics must be at least 60% of total marks.
